Willie Leftwich
Willie Leftwich is one of those rare potters who lets the medium of stoneware clay speak to him. He rarely starts a new work with a preconceived notion of the end product. Rather the work evolves as part of a creative and spiritual process that reflects his own sense of identity, purpose, and masculinity. Each of his finished stoneware vessels convey an energy and a source of strength that reinforces the collector's own sense of security and purpose. The set of stoneware pottery with its outstanding use of unique glazes by Willie Leftwich in the Jonathan Green Art Collection could be called an exhibition titled, "Echoes of a Soul." |
